2015 July - 2016 March
Joined Digital Core Technologies on July 6 2015 as one among 5 Graduate Engineer Trainees clearing the test & interview from a pool of about 10000 applicants. Had lectures on Embedded technologies & hands-on sessions on Embedded software & linux. Did many activities on Wandboard. Following two month classroom training, by the first week of September, each one of us were placed under a senior design engineer who mentored us from there on. Being the only one assigned to hardware side, did my first project of developing a USB to UART/ JTAG Converter. Using an FT2232H IC as the main component, I designed the system & drafted the schematics. The PCB Architect gave me the lessons in CAD drawing in Allegro PCB Designer using which I desined the PCB by end of October. From then, I was assigned sections of the major hardware projects.

2011 - 2015
When the results of the Kerala Engineering Entrance Examination 2011 came out, I had my name on the list securing 7269 rank. Joined for Electronics & Communication Engineering at College of Engineering Kidangoor under CAPE Kerala. The classes were almost uninteresting to me as there was very less opportunity to learn something by doing. Only the lab sessions attracted me. I had to pass through seven failures in the four years of class. But I was able to clear each one of them in the immediate opportunity available.
It was in semester 6 that I had an extra interest in academics as I could do the mini project. In a team of five, we developed a "Vision Based Robotic System" which was robotic vehicle which could locate the position of a target & reach there. The development was on Matlab & color identification was the basis for it. I got 95/100 for the project. This was the first indication that I can learn things better by doing. I followed on that developing some small projects like line followers, etc. In the seventh semester, I presented the academic seminar on "CONTROL OF A GROUP OF MOBILE ROBOTS" based primarily on IEEE Transaction "Control of a Group of Mobile Robots Based on Formation Abstraction and Decentralized Locational Optimization: Kazuya Yoshida, Hiroaki Fukushima, Kazuyuki Kon, and Fumitoshi Matsuno." It took almost 2 months for me to prepare. The evaluator really appreciated me for my work. Thus I was reassured of my strength on doing presentations.
In the last semester, we had the Main Project which gives us 300 points. I switched over to a new team setting higher goals. I chose this team considering the issues that we faced in the Mini project. We had Joicemon, a polytechnic diploma holder with strong soldering skills, Lekshmi, with good designing talent, Anandhu, whom I retained from the old Mini project team, really hard working with full of energy. We started off with "The Digital Sight", a camera & thermal sensors based system aimed to help blind lottery vendors to recognize currency note values & also acting as a travel assistant. The inspiration for the topic was a news in Malayala Manorama Newspaper regarding a blind lottery vendor in Pampady, Kottayam being constantly cheated by the luck hunters. But when we realized that the Government has introduced angular bleeding lines for the same purpose, we thought of changing the topic because of its irrelevance. Thus we came upon with another idea "SECURE PARKING SYSTEM USING COMPUTER VISION". I was so amazed to see amazing possibilities to work in image processing. The system consisted of a face recognition based on Eigenfaces & number-plate recognition based on template matching. The target was to establish a relation between the vehicle driver & the vehicle such that only the person who parks the vehicle in the parking lot can take it back from there. We presented it & demonstrated a small working model successfully. Our team scored the highest score for the Main project with myself scoring 285/300.
I presented the same project paper at paper presentation competition ‘PAPYRUS’ held as a part of RITU15 at RIT Govt. Engineering College Kottayam & secured second prize. The last two semesters worked very well for me which helped me to graduate with 68.075% of marks in April 2015.

Don Bosco Higher Secondary School
1997 - 2011
With just one month left for me to turn four, I joined for preschool at St.George High School Puthuppally which was later acquired by the Don Bosco Salesians renaming the school to Don Bosco High School. This is the place which mostly shaped me to all that I'm now. The pre-primary & primary classes went on quite happily. The basic qualities required for a social being were developed during that time.
At the Upper Primary School, being an average student, classes went on fine. I started playing cricket & football these times at school. I was specifically interested in high jump but didn't take it serious to participate in sports events. At the sixth class, I started taking part in English poem reciting & English speech competitions. I never got any prize for these.
Entering the high school, I became more active. I got into social & science exhibitions. I got the second prize in working model for social science exhibition for a " Secure Home" project. It was so simple as opening a door would trigger an alarm, just a switch-like device.
At class nine, I could reach secure 3rd price for District level social science exhibition for a "Secure Weather Station" project. It consisted of a wind vane, rain gauge, etc with 3-tier security features.
In class 10, I stood for school election for the post of magazine editor, but failed. I got selected as a House captain. It was such a nice experience having some responsibilities & authority. I passed in my class 10 SSLC(Secondary School Leaving Certificate) Exam with A+ grade for seven subjects & A grade for the remaining three.

Passing Class 10, had not much dilemma in choosing a school. Joined the same Don Bosco Higher Secondary Section as it was really a fair choice. It was moreover my father's suggestion that I selected Biology+Mathematics batch in class 11 so that all the possibilities remain open. Was really interested in Maths & Physics & did well in internal & external tests. Eventhough Botany & Zoology seemed pretty hard, I could manage them too. In the Higher Secondary final exams, I could secure three A+ grades & three A grades out of the six subjects giving a total of 88%. Thus left the school for ever by April 2011.
